Sometimes Surrender Is Best Option
by Hal Vasco
Even if you perceive everything in your surroundings as negative; even if you have become jaded and your internal feelings are jumbled and you cannot find anything inherently good in anything; why not drop back fifteen and punt?
Yes, that’s right. Why not surrender? Even General Lee suffered defeat.
Resting and healing amidst confusing times is beneficial. When you have no clue what you’re thinking or what you’re doing, the least you can do is get your mind actively off the negative. In love or war, root out negativity even as you surrender to it.
Now, this is not to advise some feel good, new-age theorem, but to encourage you to be as open and healthy as you can be especially in transitory times. Carry yourself with respect and dignity despite defeat, despite humiliation, despite malaise.
So what if you don’t know what the future holds? You can live without a crystal ball.
Enjoy the time you have in your life on earth. Read a good book. Rest up. The swords in your back are not permanent.
